Documentation: Email
Updated September 7, 2026
Support emails turn into regular inbox conversations: the operator replies from the dashboard, and the customer receives the answer as an email from your domain. No more shared mailboxes with a company-wide password.
What you need
- A support mailbox (Yandex 360, Google Workspace, Mail.ru for business or your own domain).
- Ten minutes and owner or admin rights in Chatva.
Connection, step by step
- 1
Copy your company address
Dashboard → Channels → Email. Each company has its own address like support@yourco.chatva.app — copy it.
- 2
Set up forwarding with your provider
In your mail settings enable forwarding of incoming mail to the Chatva address. Provider paths are in the table below.
- 3
Confirm the address
The provider sends a confirmation link — it arrives in the Chatva inbox as a conversation, open it and follow the link.
- 4
Send a test email
Email your regular support address — it becomes a conversation in the inbox.
Where to enable forwarding
| Provider | Path |
|---|---|
| Yandex 360 | Settings → Mail → Filters → forward incoming mail |
| Google Workspace | Gmail → Settings → Forwarding and POP/IMAP → add an address |
| Mail.ru for business | Mailbox settings → Automatic forwarding |
| Own server | A forward rule to the Chatva address in your mail server config |
How replies are sent
Operator replies are sent from your domain with a DKIM signature: the customer sees an email from your company, not from a service. The email thread stays in one conversation — the whole history is in front of you.
Emails with attachments arrive as download links. Outgoing attachments up to 20 MB.
