What you need

A professional (business) Instagram account.
A Facebook page linked to the Instagram account (Settings → Linked accounts).
An app in Meta for Developers with the Instagram product and the pages_messaging permission.

Open Channels → Instagram
In the Chatva dashboard: Channels, the Instagram card → “Connect”.

Enter the page ID and token
The ID of the Facebook page linked to the account, and the Page Access Token from your Meta app.

Copy the webhook from the form
In Meta for Developers: Webhooks → pick Instagram → paste the URL from the form and your verify token, subscribe to the messages field.

Save
Chatva checks the page and the linked business account — if it is not linked, we tell you right away.

Test receiving
Send yourself a DM — the conversation appears in the inbox, the reply reaches the follower in Instagram.

In Instagram settings enable “Allow access to messages” (Settings → Privacy → Messages) — without it the API cannot deliver your chats.
